Voormalig klooster Onze-Lieve-Vrouw ten Bunderen

Gebouwd in 1923-24 ter vervanging van het klooster in het centrum van Moorslede dat vernield werd in WO I. De geschiedenis van de zusters, die de regel van Augustinus aannamen, gaat evenwel terug tot 1269. Opgetrokken in een regionalistische neogotische stijl, typisch voor de wederopbouw na WO I (arch. De Pauw, Brugge). Het geheel omvat: links de vrije lagere school en kleuterschool; midden het hoofdgebouw met klooster, kapel en voormalige lagere middelbare school en internaat; rechts de directeurswoning. Indrukwekkende kapel met interieur in art deco. Op de zolder zijn de originele chambrettes nog volledig intact bewaard. Engelse tuin met achteraan de voormalige huishoudschool. De zusters verlieten het klooster in 2004 en het hoofdgebouw is thans in gebruik door het Orthopedagogisch Centrum Sint-Idesbald campus Ten Bunderen.

Notre-Dame ten BUNDEREN
Construit en 1923-24 pour remplacer le couvnet du centre de Moorslede qui a été détruit pendant la Première Guerre mondiale. Cependant, l'histoire des sœurs, qui ont adopté la règle d'Augustin, remonte à 1269. Construit dans un style néo-gothique régionaliste, typique de la reconstruction après la Première Guerre mondiale (arch. De Pauw, Bruges). L'ensemble comprend: à gauche l'école primaire et le jardin d'enfants libre; au milieu le bâtiment principal avec couvent, chapelle et ancienne école secondaire et pensionnat; à droite la maison du directeur. Chapelle impressionnante avec intérieur art déco. Au grenier, les chambrettes d'origine sont encore totalement intactes. Jardin anglais avec l'ancienne école domestique à l'arrière. Les sœurs ont quitté le couvent en 2004 et le bâtiment principal est maintenant utilisé par le centre orthopédagogique Sint-Idesbald campus Ten Bunderen.

Built in 1923-24 to replace the monastery in the center of Moorslede that was destroyed in World War I. The history of the sisters, who assumed the rule of Augustine, however, dates back to 1269. Built in a regionalist neo-Gothic style, typical of the reconstruction after WWI (arch. De Pauw, Bruges). It includes: on the left the primary school and kindergarten; in the middle of the main building with cloister, chapel and former primary secondary school and boarding school; on the right the director's house. Impressive chapel with art deco interior. In the attic, the original chambrettes are still completely intact. English garden with the former domestic science school at the back. The sisters left the monastery in 2004 and the main building is now used by the Orthopedagogical Center Sint-Idesbald campus Ten Bunderen.
